SICILY

Sicily is the largest island in the Mediterranean. It is region rich in culture, history and tradition.
It was home to Arabians, Normans and Greeks.
Sicily has a typical Mediterranean climate with mild and wet winters and hot, dry summers.
A land of contrasts where you can ski on the slopes of Mount Etna in the morning and sunbathe down on the beach.
The principal tourist sights are: Taormina, perched below Mount Etna overlooking the sea, Agrigento with the Valley of the temples, Salinunte, Syracuse, the fortified charming town, Lipari and Enna.
The typical dish of Sicily is pasta with tomatoes, anchovies, capers or aubergines cooked in olive oil.
